No matter how strong your safety and loss control program is, you will unfortunately encounter claims. Accidents do happen and prompt, complete reporting is the first step towards a successful outcome.
- When reporting claims, report them immediately – don’t delay.
- Collect as much information as possible regarding the loss such as contact name and phone number, name and address of the church or reporting location, parties involved, address, date and time, policy number, accident description and type of injury.
- Submit all police reports, estimates, photos and any materials/receipts.
- Do not speak with third parties about the claim and do not discuss “fault”.
